If you are unsure if you can parent or wanting to talk to someone about adoption you should know that these feelings are normal. Whether you have a support system or you feel like you’re alone, we are here to help.
How do I make the right decision?
It is normal to struggle with the decision to place your child for adoption. Women who make this choice love their child and DO want their baby, but don’t know if they are prepared or if they desire to parent at this time. If this is you, you are not alone. Take a deep breath and know that we can help you.
Who can help?
The first step is to reach out to a Pregnancy Counselor. You can text or call us directly or even ask the hospital staff to reach out for you. Reaching out doesn’t have to be stressful – someone can talk to you on the phone and can visit you at the hospital. Meeting with a Pregnancy Counselor does not commit you to making an adoption plan. You can talk with a counselor whenever is best for you (i.e. while you are in labor, after baby is born). A Pregnancy Counselor can provide you with the support you need before, after, and during labor. They will help you explore both of your options and determine what the next step is in your plan. You are not alone. We are here to help!
If you’re in labor and thinking about adoption, reach out to our team today. We are available 24/7 by live chat, text, or phone at 1-800-875-5595. Or you can submit a request for one of our Pregnancy Counselors to reach out to you.
